OOS II today, complete 12/28. Although in the email they are offering me an in-person interview specifically with the alternative option to be added to a virtual interview waitlist. It looks like they don’t have many spots left.

Texas Match date. I’m sure they expect a decent amount of movement that day for people who dual applied TMDSAS and AACOMAS

I obviously don’t know for sure but I imagine there’s gonna be a bunch of scrambling from Texas match offers in February(last year our match day was in March), Texas waitlist movement and other stuff.

I think it’s fair to say they’ll be some more invites

Standard MMI prep but also be ready to use experiences in your answers! So know why medicine, why you’d wanna go to UIW, San Antonio. Any experiences in healthcare or volunteering too!

With the scenario stations, I found them very conversational

They are referring to the TMDSAS Match Day for applicants to the TMDSAS medical schools.
Although UIWSOM does not participate in the TMDSAS Match because they use the AACOMAS application, many applicants in TX have applied to both.
If a Texan matches to one of the TMDSAS schools on Match Day Feb 16, they might drop their seat at UIWSOM.

this refers to MD/DO applicants using the TMDSAS to apply to medical school in texas. students get accepted to Texas medical schools using a match-type process similar to the residency application process.

they called me yesterday bc I forgot to send in my transcript for a wintermester class i took and said they were revieing applications and interviews yesterday afternoon. So maybe we'll hear back soon
