I received a secondary from this school in early September well after all of my other secondaries were submitted, and I never ended up submitting the secondary here. Is it worth it at all to submit one now?

I've interviewed and been accepted if y'all want to pm me!

OOS II just now, virtual interview's gonna be not even a week from now. I'm seriously impressed by the turnaround rate.

Do you know if my portal asking for a transcript is a good sign post interview? Haven't heard back yet but this is the only change in my portal?

Just withdrew my A today. Best of luck everyone!

Does anyone know how to access the applicant portal? Everytime I click the link from my emails earlier on, it says it’s expired. Also interviewing 10/31…those who already interviewed, how was it?

Interviewed today! Some general info/vibes for those interviewing: there are two 25 min 1:1 interviews, be prepared for traditional questions and ethical questions. Completely closed file. Overall interview was well organized and faculty and interviewers were friendly and nice!

Hey there! I am interviewing on 11/20 and would love to get an opinion on ways to prep/things to expect, etc.

I would honestly look at common ethical dilemmas and be able to form nuanced opinions on them. Should be able to prep you for their style of questioning.

This is an appeal to applicants who have taken Casper for admission to KCOM.

Complete the 2023 Situational Judgment Test Experience survey.

HPSA/SDN has the 2023 SJT Experience Survey available to anyone preparing for SJTs (especially Casper and PREview). If you completed the 2022 survey, you are welcome to go ahead and complete the survey again. This survey consists of multiple pages and will take up to 10 minutes. You can also place yourself on a waitlist for a study focusing more on school-run SJTs run through platforms like Kira Talent, to be released later in the year.

Your feedback matters!
We learned a lot about how applicants prepared for Casper and PREview last year, but the number of PREview schools has almost doubled this cycle! Over 20% of all AMCAS applicants will likely have taken PREview, and up to 90% of all medical school applicants will likely have taken Casper this cycle (according to Acuity Insights). This does not include applicants in non-medical professions who have had to take these assessments for admission to physician assistant, anesthesiology assistant, dental, veterinary, pharmacy, or physical therapy programs, where we see a trend that applicants with higher Casper results are preferred. Medical residency applicants are also being asked to complete Acuity Insights Assessments, and very little is known about how program directors use these data. Your responses are vital to get objective insights on how admissions committees value the results of these exams.

Your feedback matters!
We want to hear from as many people as possible, especially those attending or applying outside of medicine (MD/DO). This year saw an expansion of SJTs in admissions, and more information has been made available on preparing for these assessments. We want to stay current with these trends to guide future applicants and students facing these SJTs.

Many of our findings from the 2022 survey align with the NAAHP Testing Task Force report released last summer. This includes concerns about proctoring, consistency of scoring, and concern that applicants are paying for validity research. But we need more student voices to gain a louder voice to advocate for future health professional school applicants.

Your feedback has helped HPSA develop a workshop focused on preparing for SJTs like Casper and PREview. This workshop is part of our Becoming a Student Doctor preparation course, and we have already had some positive results among those who have participated in our mock interview workshops. An updated workshop will be presented at the UC Davis Prehealth Conference on October 14, and we welcome opportunities to present the full-length SJT workshop to your campus!

Fill out this survey and help future applicants become physicians in their chosen profession!

I think they said they interview around 700 and accept around 140-150? I can’t exactly remember
Oh really? That's alot of post-interview rejections. Looking at last year's forum, most people who interviewed got Accepted.

I agree!! Honestly I was shocked but I’m pretty sure that was a slide on the PowerPoint

Just got a call from admissions not even a minute ago saying I was accepted! I was very shocked, as I hadn't gotten an email from them yet, and my only other acceptance so far was emailed first before sending a physical letter. But yeah, super hyped about it!

Congrats! What date did you interview? Interviewed 10/30, so trying to gauge when I might hear back- also what area code did you get the call from?

Interview date was October 23rd, area code was 316 which I'm pretty sure is Wichita.

10/24 interview. Just got the A call
I wonder if I will hear back today or tomorrow then? Did anyone else who interviewed 10/30 hear anything?

Has your portal been updated/did you get an email? Or just a phone call?

Omg congrats y’all! I interviewed 10/31 so hoping to hear back soon

+1 Also got the call. Don't want to give away the date, but interviewed mid-October and got my first A. I was fighting back tears on the call, but can't believe I'm going to be a doctor 😭 It get's much better y'all!

Phone call. They will email the next day

Phone call. They will email the next day
Awesome thank you! I'm on pins and needles- just hoping I'm not in the next batch of calls several weeks from now. From last years' forum looks like they meet every 6 weeks and notify multiple dates on the same day, so fingers crossed!

For reference, this was last year's II to A pattern:

II 09/21, 09/23, 09/25, 09/28, 09/30; A 10/31

II 10/12, 10/19, 11/04, 11/09; A 11/21

II 12/07, 12/14; A 12/22

Anyone from 10/30 hear back? I'm guessing we are in the next batch 😭

Perhaps that was their class size or number of students that are matriculated. Usually, there are about twice as many students accepted than actually matriculated or enrolled.

Got the call yesterday!! Gonna be a doctor still in shock.. II: 10/25, A: 11/08
