Has anyone heard from Columbia or Upenn?
Congratulations ! Would you mention when you received the invite and when is the actual interview ? .best of luck !My dream school, USC, has given me an invitation in person interview.
Yes of course. I got the invitation last week and I am still waiting for the date.Congratulations ! Would you mention when you received the invite and when is the actual interview ? .best of luck !
Yea, this stuff happens regularly around the nation. No reason for concern. My Chair went through 2 chairs/ PD’s during his 2 years. 99% of Endodontic academia has extremely high standards as well as egos. Anyone hired for that type of position will want to create good Endodontists. Only issues I’ve seen are certain personalities in charge can make for a tough(er) experience.Division Head Endodontology/Program Director, Advanced Education Program in Endodontics in Portland, OR for Oregon Health & Science University
Exciting opportunity in Portland, OR for Oregon Health & Science University as a Division Head Endodontology/Program Director, Advanced Education Program in Endodonticsendocareers.aae.org
This may be a reason for the delay this year for OHSU. I've heard only good things about the program.
Become a member of the AAE, go to the annual meeting and make sure to network as much as possible.Hey guys, looking ahead to applying next year now... What do you all think are some good ways to improve my application?
I plan on taking the ADAT (although i've heard mixed feelings about this, some feed back on if this is a good idea is helpful)
Should I also become a memeber of AAE?
Anything else that you all might think of would help out a lot. thanks!

This is my first year applying. I have not get an acceptance yet but I got 3 interviews. I genuinely love endo so the last few years I went to AAE meetings and also endo classes taught at the university (USC) so I could learn more about endodontics. For me, I went to the AAE its because I truly want to learn from the best. I have met some amazing colleagues and made some friends.Hey guys, looking ahead to applying next year now... My advice is YES you should become a member of AAE and go to meetings and go to endo classes, not sponsored, taught at Universities, or lectures and seminars at AAE. The next one is PAIN in Florida. Its good to learn more as it also helps with our every day patients and it can only make you become a better provider for our patient.
Good luck!!

I personally think last day may allow you to stand out in the interviewer's memory.Does anyone know if Columbia interviews everyone before giving offers? Is it better to choose an earlier date or does it not matter?

I believe the application asks if you've applied before but also during interviews you can tell the interviewer that you've applied before and that you're dedicated to the field.Hi guys, do programs know how many times you applied?
I ask in hope that when I apply next year, programs will recognize my dedication.
