Of course. There’s still plenty of time. I’m very hopeful you all get in. Also a weird thought, but I’d prefer my future classmates to be fellow waitlisters tbh, because you all know the real pain. Trauma bonding. Don’t give up!

FYSA, I checked the Seattle GroupMe and it’s only up to 55 members. Not sure if that means ppl are slow to join or a sign of the total number committing to accept. Hopefully a sign the WL will keep going up!

For reference, the class size for the 2023 entering class was 146 (Seattle cohort)

That’s a bit reassuring! I’m 31 so I’m really hoping I’ll hear something this upcoming week.

How long do WL students get to accept or decline their position once they get the A email? Is it a week?

In addition to 146 entering students for Washington (Seattle & Spokane), there are 5 OOR-MD Only and 9 OOR MSTP students joining the Seattle cohort. This should total 160 as listed on the admissions statistics page

I feel like its related to the FAFSA delay? Most schools I'm waitlisted at have had little to no movement compared to the past few years.

Ugh FAFSA really be screwing people over this year. I'll be so devastated if the waitlist doesn't move at least 3 spots before June. I did look back into last years SDN and they seemed to have a similar issue where they saw no movement from May 4th - May 8th. Let's hope it moves!
 
Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can look for scribing jobs? I was working as a CRC but I really want a job where I can interact with patients more before I reapply to UWSOM. If anyone can recommend any specific privately owned clinics in the Seattle or Kirkland area, that would be so so helpful. Also if anyone worked for companies like Scribe America, if they can share their experiences with me, that would also be great. Thank you so much!
 
For those wondering, the GroupMe for the Seattle cohort is now sitting at 80 members!

Occasionally we will lose a member here or there, generally because we get spammers adding themselves to the group lol. Can't tell you how many people we've had trying to sell their "essay proofreading" adding themselves.

Wow 30 student bump from two days ago. So they are having tons of students accepting. Hopefully there’s still space for significant movement this week.

I believe 100 with 10 seats for MSTPs. So there is still ~20 person wiggle room there unless those 20 just haven’t joined the Group Me. I’m not sure how faithful students are to immediately joining. I am hoping that they just haven’t filled it:arghh:

It’s definitely anxiety-inducing, but hang in there. They seem to accept right up until the week of orientation, so you have time. Especially if you’re only a couple slots away.

This is reassuring to hear! The CTE deadline this year is quite early (May 31st) though - so would they still accept up to orientation, or will everyone know by May 31st/early June? Sorry don't mean to be paranoid 😬

I'm not too familiar with how the CTE deadline will affect admissions, but I'm sure people will have their reasons for moving at the last minute. Plus, it seems like a lot of students hold off on their decisions until the last possible moment, so there's still a lot of potential for much movement on the AL. Try to hang in there! Just gotta ride out the time.. easier said than done though
