Anyone know how long it takes to hear back post interview? Around 4 weeks or so? Based on previous years it looks like people who interviewed early march heard back around mid-April, just wondering if that's representative of what's happened so far this year...

any movement on WL? (praying)
I think WL movement would start around May 1st after people start making plans on committing to schools. Plus schools don't really get back about financial aid stuff until around April so I don't think there will be too much movement until May 1st.

Only two ortho? Does anyone have a historical sense of how well Einstein normally match into ortho?

Is there anyone who interviewed before Jan 2024 and received a "rolling admissions" email?

Friends, I'm currently sitting on HPWL with 0 A's this cycle. If any of you are accepted to equally amazing schools, I would literally sell you my soul for the next 4 years if you took those other offers.
(Just kidding, but I'm sweating super hard. Generationally broke and Einstein is my #1)

when did you interview?

Does anyone know the chances of acceptances for March/ April interviews? Or is it interviewing for a waitlist spot?

Read through the past bunch of years. 0 As were given post II after the Feb 1st release. Everyone else got WL/HPWL/R.
The HPWL could turn to an A eventually in May (if we get movement this year).

Have there been any WLs other than HPWL following the free tuition news? I feel like they're either going to give out HPWL or Rs because there is going to be such little movement and putting people on the WL which sees even less movement may not be fair to students. Not sure though just throwing ideas out there...

This may be false hope but I do think that there is going to be at least some movement in the HPWL or regular WL. I've mentioned it before but some schools are willing to match (happened to a friend of mine) and depending on people's aspirations or financial position, may choose higher ranked schools. Financial aid is also messed up this year because of FAFSA so I think people are holding onto As in hopes of either using it to their advantage elsewhere or until they hear back from other schools they've been accepted into.

Maybe people have posted about getting shifted up in previous years? I feel like even if you do on their end they wouldn't tell you. Plus, I don't think your place on the HPWL or WL is based on when you interviewed and instead based on your fit to the school so maybe someone who is yet to interview late March or in April will be at the very top depending on how their interview goes.

My thought is that most ppl who will get off HPWL are those who interviewed after their Feb decision wave because they can’t give out As after Feb and maybe those people would have otherwise gotten an A had they interviewed earlier (so maybe they would be ranked higher on the HPWL?). But thats just a thought!

I agree with that. I think no A’s after announcement and if there is any WL movement (big if) first movements will be those who would have received A’s based on pre announcement yield projections.

Best of luck all!

I have absolutely nothing to add just hoping that by writing this message I can keep the neuroticism ball rolling until I eventually realize it’s past May 1st and WL movement already started

Interviewed in September. Sent a LOI after not hearing back in February. Just hearing back with a post II rejection at 4pm today. Email asked me if I’d be interested in a possible one year enhancement program with guaranteed admission for next year. Will be pursuing my other acceptances instead. Congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those waiting!

Did they mention anything at all about what the "enhancement program" would be like? Have they done something like this in the past or is it new starting this cycle?

The email specifically said they cant provide details at this time but are asking if I would be interested. I tried looking it up but couldnt find anything about the program so it may be something they’re creating. Unsure.

What is your perspective on this program? Ive seen it periodically mentioned.

I think it's a potentially great opportunity for those who have no As currently. However, I'm curious about what the requirements are to be admitted the following year. I'm assuming "enhancement program" is just another way of saying SMP. Hypothetical situation, but will they only guarantee admission to those in the program who get like a 3.9+ GPA and retake the MCAT to get a 515+? If the standards are something insane like that, it's not worth it to me. On the other hand, you pay one year for a program that if you meet the requirements, you get admission to one of the best med schools in the nation with free tuition for four years as well as cheap student housing. For me personally, I won't be accepting as I currently have acceptances already.

You have to maintain a 3.2 gpa in the program and tuition is covered

Can’t you just just answer yes you are interested? Doesn’t sound like you are committing and how can you be said to commit to something you have absolutely no details about?

Seems risk free to just say “Yes, I would be interested”

True, I'll send one and see if I can get additional details

wouldn't it make more sense to offer a program like that to those who are waitlisted? I am just so confused on what their plan is

Well I guess the difference is that if you’re on the WL you have a chance to matriculate without taking extra steps for that year.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s something that they offer to WL people following May 1st and based on movement.

Imagine it could also be part of an initiative to increase diversity among med students which I believe is a big part of their mission. Perhaps some of the money that was donated is being set aside to create a bridge the gap type program where promising students can get the extra attention they might need to succeed in medical school. If so, I like Einstein even more now!

Einstein's "Enhancement Program" requirements to guarantee admission the following year:
1) Maintain GPA of 3.2+ across all science and non-science courses in the program
2) No grade below a B on any course
3) No MCAT retake necessary/required

I had an LM of 64 so perhaps my stats were too low for accepted/waitlist, but the rest of my app was good enough to elevate me for the enhancement program offer.

I've seen way worse requirements for some of these guaranteed admission programs so not terrible. But if you are ready to start med school I can see how putting it off for another year can be annoying.

Interesting requirements, where did you find the information for this ?

Anyone know if merit aid is still a possibility?
