Currently in grade 12 and looking to apply into medical very soon, but there is a lot of different opinions being thrown at me via parents, teachers, etc. It's corned down to four main options I thought I'd tell you what I know and someone can correct me and give me some advice and more maybe more info, thanks.
Goal: Practise Medicine in either the States or Canada (preferably Canada since I'm Canadian)
1)Europe(What I think I know):
-6 years?
-Generally the most expensive
-Needs equalisation if applying from a Canadian high school
-Degree isn't always recognised in Canada?
2)Caribbean(What I think I know):
-5 years?
-Small chance of getting residency in Canada so mostly likely be practising in the US
-Low entrance standards and easier to get in
3)Canada(What I think I know):
-8 years in total (4 undergrad+4 MS)
-Not the best chances of getting into MS after pre med
4)US(What I think I know):
-8 years in total
-Better chances of getting into MS after pre med
