hi everyone. here are my stats. i really, really want to go to a DO school.
graduated may 2018 with a non-science degree/major with science minor.
CA resident.
cGPA: 3.34
sGPA: 3.1
MCAT: 508 (1st time taking)
volunteering: 500+ with various non-health related organizations since high school, including internships and jobs
300+ volunteering with a local low income/free clinic
300+ with one interfaith organization focused on underprivileged folks
3000+ hours scribing (ED + other clinics); worked full time while in my last 2 years of college
3 MD LORs; 1 non-science professor LOR
bilingual (not Spanish)
tons of leadership roles in college (political club, social club, and human rights club)
i've been doing a post bacc so far (grades above include post-bacc classes which have all been As/high Bs). should i do an SMP? do i have a chance? should i retake the MCAT? i will attend any medical school. my top choices would be COMPNW, RVU, DMU, PCOM, PNWU (only problem is i don't have a science professor LOR).
i appreciate any and all advice. thanks!
