I’ve been having some trouble working out why you see sclerotic changes on xray when there’s osteonecrosis - can anyone help out? For example in AVN in Legg Calvé Perthes disease you see sclerosis as one of the early signs or in osteonecrosis from sickle cell disease you see sclerotic changes and I’m not sure why...
