What are you writing for Other Impactful Experiences? Who gave you feedback saying it was "strong"? How do you articulate your purpose as a physician? Your description doesn't show me your mission fit or why I should want to invite you to an interview.

What was your Eagle Scout project?

What about your secondary essays?

Cultural competence:
  • Volunteered for 70 hours at a homeless shelter
  • Currently in a disability program where we learn about disability and how it affects the whole family with 3 hours a week of hands on training
I need a better description about what is involved with the disability program. Are you a caregiver to someone who is disabled (or a patient)? What are you training? How many hours is this?

I am missing more "service orientation" where you are face-to-face with individuals in great need. Your homeless shelter work needs to be augmented to at least 150 hours (or complement it with another activity) to avoid getting screened out at most schools. Regardless the listing makes it seem you've thrown it in for box-checking. I'm sure you also have some training with your EMT work.

Casper/PREview?

Why should I give you an interview? What is your mission fit with the schools on your list?

Rochester
Temple
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Wake Forest
USF Morsani
