Hi everyone, I am a MD student in the US who is very interested in applying to residency in Ireland (and living/practicing there permanently as an eventual citizen). Does anyone have experience in this process and can tell me more about the best way to go about it? From what I have researched, it looks like after graduation I would have to take the PRES level 3 exam to get registered with the Medical Council of Ireland. From there, I would have to complete a year of internship to earn a COE before being eligible for SHO? I understand it's more competitive for non-EU applicants. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to approach this? Should I attempt this straight out of graduation--should I do residency in the US before moving to Ireland? Would truly appreciate some advice
