Screwed up my first semester (3.3), how do i improve?

I just got my grades back for my first semester and im not doing so hot. The two things that really worry me are a B+ in calc and a C+ in physics. I am going to take a similair class to physics and I am absolutely sure i will crush it. But im not sure how to lift my CGPA to something acceptable by the time i apply. If i get A's on all my classes for the next 2 years, i can get a 3.8 but that won't be easy. Any tips on how to do that would be appreciated.
