Technology Saving email?

Random, but I was just wondering if anyone saves all their personal email. It's easy to do given that it's email and storage is cheap/free, but is it kind of a packrat move to leave everything in your Exchange inbox or Gmail or whatever else?

I have everything saved in the inbox. If I don't want it I delete it though. I also delete large attachments if the mailbox gets full. (Though they recently increased our storage limits).

I use the Mail app in Mac OS X. I've created folders for sent and received messages by year, and archive the last couple of years' worth of messages.
