hi, i was dismissed from podiatry school, but they will allow me to go back into pod. school the following school year, I was wondering if this will affect my residency placement in the future? Because I was told it would say 'dismissed' on my transcrips and was wondering, if I will get the same shot and good chance, if I pass my boards, and do well in my class. Thanks for the help!

I think a lot will depend on the reason that you were dismissed. If it is a legitimate reason (sickness for example), then it probably won't affect you as long as you do well in school, on boards, etc. If you were dismissed for poor conduct, then you may be at a big disadvantage.

Agreed. Especially now that there are more students than three year spots you may be at a serious disadvantage. It doesn't mean you won't get a good program, but you will have to work a lot harder.
