Your dontaion can make a huge difference in the lives of people who have been utterly devasted by the deadly earthquake in Northern Pakistan and surrounding region.

"A massive earthquake has killed more than 40,000 in South Asia. Tens of thousands of survivors need your help." - WorldVision.org

"The earthquake which struck northern Pakistan and Azad Kashmir early this week was a bigger catastrophe than last year’s tsunami in terms of the number of people made homeless and the extent of destruction to infrastructure, a World Health Organisation official said here on Thursday.

Hussein A. Gezairy, the organization’s regional director, said the quake rendered 2.5 million people homeless as against 1.5 million displaced by the tsunami. Besides, another million people are in extreme grief, needing immediate help." - Dawn.com

"Time is running out for the estimated 4 million people left homeless, injured or lacking food and water by last Saturday's massive earthquake in northern Pakistan." - Mercy Corps

"People are dying as we speak because we're not there in all of these villages where there are wounded people."
- Egeland, the U.N. undersecretary general and emergency relief coordinator

Reading all this has brought tears to my eyes. There's not much i can say, but i can only pray to God that He helps out everybody effected by this deadly earthquake and other catastrophic events that took place this year.

You can donate money to the following charities. And remember, each dollar we donate is not a big dent in our pockets but will do a world of good to those who need it.

I'm a bit more partial to donating to the hurricane relief effort going on here in our own country...

unbelievable...so many killed, and so many displaced. i'm doing my part (whatever my broke a*$ can afford)!, and I encourage everyone else. yes i'm partial to new orleans as well, but in all honesty the magnitude of the earthquake is too much to not do anything in my humble opinion.

It's this type of thinking that makes us the greatest country on Earth. Even during the aftermath of a huge disaster in our own country, many people, like yourself, are still wanting to help those in other countries. I'm more selfish, I guess, but I still applaud your concern for those abroad.
