Do you get paid for work during your residency while getting your OTD?

Not typically, unfortunately because these programs are not cheap, nor is cost of living (especially as a student). It isn't really a residency like a doctor or physician is required to perform. It is commonly called "fieldwork" in the OT profession and consists of two-12 week full-time placements where you are mentored by one licensed OTR/L supervisor. I have heard people call it "clinicals", however that is more of a nursing term.

Nope, not during fieldwork (usually) and not during residency/whatever they call the third year project. Yep, it's unfair.
