Disability Insurances

I'm a current D4 student, looking into the disability insurance options following graduation. I was quoted for Guardian, Principal, and ADA for similar disability insurance of 10k/month which were all in the similar ballpark in regards to pricing. In regards to the benefits, what's everyone's experience with the different insurance companies and factors to look into in regards to choosing DI?

Having an "owner occupation" clause is very important. Guardian and Principal should offer this.

I've heard that the ADA plan can be cancelled at any point in time by whoever runs that plan and you'd be out of luck.

Get your own policy, they can't be cancelled or modified which the ADA can. Any of the big 5 carriers can provide a great contract for you.
