When shall I start studying for DATs?

I will be a sophomore this year. I plan on taking the DATs next summer. When would be the best time to take the DATs... next year (after spring semester), or the year afterwards? And when should I start preparing for it? I already finished my general chemistry requirement... and seems like I dont remember jack from it.

Oh yeh, what dates on the calendar are the DATs given?
