General Admissions & OTCAS What to do if you get waitlisted?

Hello! I'm still waiting on decisions from a couple schools but I got waitlisted from Midwestern University and MCPHS. I saw that some people reached out to the programs that they got waitlisted from and expressed how grateful they are and how much they would like to get into the program. Is this something I should do? What should I say? Does anyone have an example of something they said to the programs they got waitlisted from? Thanks
