I have a 19 AA 20 TS 15 RC and 18 PAT. My gpa is a 3.02 overall, 3.03 BCP, and 3.08 science. My post-baccalaurate gpa is a 3.79. So does that mean I need a masters with my credentials. Please tell me what schools should I keep because my purpose is to attend east coast and midwest dental schools. I also have 300 hrs of community service, 300 volunteering, 100 hours volunteering at a dental office, 770 hours working as a dental assistant, 100 hours working as a current pharmacy intern/technician and have excellent LORs, with an above decent personal statement and all my experiences look way above decent. I am a state resident of Virginia

and why are you giving up on pharmacy when you are not even done with school?

Did any of the schools that interviewed you gave you any advice or connections with potential mentors? Who has been your mentor throughout this application process, or even during your postbacs?

Were you ever involved with mentoring programs for aspiring Blacks going into medicine or dentistry? Have you ever been involved with SNDA, NDA, SNPhA, or their state-related chapters?

Why did you not apply to the HBCU dental schools?

The big issue is that stubborn RC that is below 17 in all of your attempts.

have you checked with your school list to see if they will accept your DAT from 2020?

IU means Indiana University. I applied to Marquette, Temple, NYU, Howard, LECOM, MOSDOH, ASDOH, Minnesota, Ohio State, Louisville, MWU-IL, and Iowa.

yes they will. yes they will accept my prerequesites from 2019 and 2020

1. No
2. yes, no
3. I did and I am going to apply to Meharry this cycle
4. Will the 15 RC going to hurt me or I am good enough to apply. I was told by UPenn yesterday I can apply to their school with my current DAT scores and GPAs.

oh, sorry
i missed your post explaining this above...
I was told by Dr. Kasberg from BU that my post bacc gpa of 3.79 is unimpressive and I was like hmmm?? total of credit hours is 47.

did you upenn say you would be competitive?

IU means Indiana University. I applied to Marquette, Temple, NYU, Howard, LECOM, MOSDOH, ASDOH, Minnesota, Ohio State, Louisville, MWU-IL, and Iowa.
you applied to all of these schools all 4 years?
it makes it easier to give you suggestions with all the info, so that's why all the questions...

yes and some of it is without the post bacc that i finished with a 3.79

Does NYU do a full 100% traditional interview and does not ask any ethical scenario based questions?

Does NYU do a full 100% traditional interview and does not ask any ethical scenario based questions?
i don't know
there are threads for each school every year that you could research through...

they did not say anything about that but said I can still apply with my scores
ok
your GPAs and DATs are significantly lower than their averages, so you need to understand the odds if you want to apply here

1. No
2. yes, no

your best chances are at the HBCUs, so it's good that you are finally applying to the two schools

a ton of schools have DAT score cutoffs, so you need to look into that
and since dental school requires lots of reading, having consistent 14/15 in RC is not good
it obviously hasn't stopped you from getting invites in the past though...

2018 UDM interview, denied admissions
2019 IU interview, denied admissions
2020 UDM, IU, BU interviews.....denied UDM and IU, but BU Waitlisted
2021 BU and Tufts interview, both denied admissions
even considering it was over 4 cycles, 7 interviews and only one WL means that you really need to work on your interview skills...

I would like to know what east coast/midwest dental schools I can be able to add more here
i already posted about upenn and ecu and the 2 hbcus
how come no indiana, they offered you interviews twice?
if you are going to have KCU on your list, you might as well add the other new shools too (as long as you understand the potential pitfalls of new schools)

that's the second time you have brought that up
i would suggest that you decide whether you want to reapply to BU or not and move on
applying is tough enough without adding extra baggage...

You can always apply but that doesn't mean you won't get accepted. We deal in probabilities here. Maybe your personal profile shows Grit and Resilience, but we just want to point out many committees do have thresholds or expectations.

are my stats alone ok for UPenn?
