Provider status still being talked about? That was being talked about (albeit under a different name) way back in the 70's and 80's. Likely before then as well, I'm just not that old to know for sure. That boat has long since sailed. One might as well plan to go to Times Square for Dec 31, 1999, as work on getting provider status.
