This is official from the VA, but I haven't personally used it yet. It should hopefully clear up some of the backlog and make annual meetings with your VRC easier and more convenient.

I remember reading up on this a few days ago. It sounds like this would and should (as you mentioned) take precedence over the VRC doing their annual "check-up" on campus to validate how things are going (at least that is what my current one has to do with a few of the veterans scattered in the different programs on campus instead of us going to him). I was informed of this a year ago when I first got in and was wondering if it would actually happen. Good to know!
