yes i can answer and yes it does.
a good score won't help you unless it is a really really really really good score, and even then the help will be minimal. likely if you are in that top .1% your application will be tremendous from many different standpoints.
a bad score can really sink you though. won't be impossible, and probably less important at community programs but will make it more difficult.
