This may be a really dumb question, but how do you type on the universal application form? I am applying to a program that does NOT use ERAS. They use the universal application form that is on the NRMP site.

I downloaded the PDF file but can't type on it. Obviously I don't want to submit a handwritten form. I don't have a typewritter to fill in the form. There must be some easy step that I am missing. Help please! Thanks.

Some options:

If the form is Adobe, find a computer which has Adobe Write (not just the read software) which will allow you to make changes.

Find a library or someone else with a typewriter and fill the blanks in.

Measure the spaces between the answer columns and format a word processing program template with just your answers and print it out onto the pre-printed UAF.

Or open the file in a word processing program and attempt to fill it in that way (ie, Microsoft word).
