Hi everyone,

Some of you may have already seen my first few posts; I’m a (super) non-trad 40-year-old lawyer who was recently accepted to medical school. Throughout the process—prerequisites and the MCAT—I had believed time and again that my age would have been disqualifying to many (if not all) medical schools.

I just found out that, as of Friday, I was accepted to two more MD programs in addition to my first acceptance. I didn’t even check my email until today and it came as such a nice surprise. I suppose that I write this to all my fellow non-trads out there: it really never is too late. I appreciate the extra offers as it helps to hedge against my own feeling of being “too old” to go back to school. All told, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to join this profession.

Onward and upward my friends.
