Based on the following two websites, I would like to propose a self directed learning path that would cheaply allow a doctor to understand the machinations of healthcare administration without the inconvience of tests, quizzes, papers. Drawbacks include the lack of a diploma after doing all of this work:

HLTH 6100 – Evaluation and Quality Improvement in Health Care: Evaluation strategies to assess and improve health care efficiency, effectiveness, and quality, including use of quality standards and protocols. (3 credit hours)
HLTH 6210 – Health Care Finance: Financial administration concepts and tools (such as financial statement analysis, time value of money, cost analysis, budgeting, portfolio theory, asset pricing models, valuation methods, and cost of capital) essential in sustaining viability of various health care organizations. HLTH 6280 – Health Law: Interface between the legal system and health care delivery system, considering the roles and rights of key U.S. health care stakeholders, including: patients, administrators, governing boards, state and federal government, third-party payors, and health care providers. (3 credit hours)
HLTH 6300 – Epidemiology in Health Administration: Rational basis for setting priorities and allocating scarce health care resources, including use of methodologically sound health statistics; understanding of natural history, classification, and prevention levels of disease; measurement of morbidity and mortality; causal inference; appropriate sources of health care data; and epidemiological principles. (3 credit hours)
HLTH 6350 – Human Resource Management in Health Care: Practical aspects of human resource leadership in various health care settings to optimize the performance of a diverse workforce. (3 credit hours)
HLTH 6380 – Strategic Planning and Marketing in Health Services: Processes involved in health care organization strategic planning and marketing, exploring community and health care needs assessment, strategic marketing design, business scenarios, decision analysis, feasibility studies, implementation strategies and evaluation methods. (3 credit hours)
HLTH 6480 – Ethical Issues in Health Care: Exploration of dominant ethical theories and applicable principles relevant to current clinical and leadership issues in health care. (3 credit hours)
