Pros

• Small class size (~46)
• Integrated med school curriculum 1st year
• No ranking
• High specialization rates
• Sister in NYC

Cons

• More expensive (although fortunately, money is not a large concern)
• Location?

UMich (IS)

Pros

• Cheap
• Close to home
• Prestige/Nationally recognized school?

Cons

• Spent 4 years of undergrad here and have lived close my entire life (kinda want something new)
• Short breaks
• Rigorous program?
• Need to find patients

I'm very interested in specializing

Stony brook has historically had a great balance of specialization rate (up there with UCONN and HSDM) and an excellent clinical education, however I have heard that in the last few years there have been some troubles (some newspaper articles also if you care to look). I would reach out to SBU D4s to get their thoughts
