Just found out my recruiter retired and I can't get a hold of him anymore... My packet was already sent to boards before he retired but I'm wondering how I would know whether or not I was selected for the HPSP. I know boards was this month so I'm expecting to hear about it soon.

Whoever took over his position should be your recruiter now. Sucks he just left like that, mine did too when I was applying but he called me in to introduce me to his replacement. Just call down to his office and see who picks up, or try to contact someone within the HPSP department and see if they can point you to someone else.
