    200h r&d at medical device company (900 projected)
  8. Shadowing: 40h hospitalist, 60h orthopedic surgery
  9. Volunteering: 200h volunteer leadership with university -leading a small group of volunteers from the school at various community partner sites, 110h food pantry (150 more projected)
  10. 250h president of university lgbt+ org, 400h swimming (hobby), 200h knitting, 10h (600h projected)-- MCAT tutor
  11. personal statement has community service + underserved patients focus, used AP for calc, gen bio, gen chem, physics lecture

You will have to see whether each school will take your AP credit for pre-reqs like gen chem and bio. Upper level courses in these subjects can be sometimes substituted, and the higher stat schools are moving away from pre-reqs in general.

SIU is meant for IL residents south of I-80 and/or from rural parts of the state. Schools like Drexel or Georgetown know you will not attend their school over other options.

thank you so much!! unfortunately i don't meet the prereqs for hofstra or rochester --any suggestions for schools to substitute for them?
