General Received DUI after being accepted to nursing school - Do I still have a chance?

Hi there...

I was recently accepted into nursing school but was also just convicted of a DUI. I am worried that the school will reject the acceptance letter after the background check. Anyone know my chances? It was a misdemeanor and probation of 3 years unsupervised.

You would need to read into the schools policy and the letter of acceptance for this. The letter/packet should include contingencies if they exist.

You are going to have quite the time to get licensed. For someone who already has a license, it's pretty much a stayed revocation in CA if they don't go into a diversion program. You will have major difficulty obtaining your first license.
