rad onc career choice

What is the life of a rad onc like?
I recently found out that I did well on step 1 (97) and wanted to learn more about this field (thnking I might have chance to get in)
Unfortunately my medical school in israel hasnt given me the exposure to this field.
Are radoncs generally happy? financially?
academic vs private?
Do private radoncs open their own practice with their own equipment?
are there any specialities within radonc?

Other fields I am considering are radiology and pathology, how do these fields compare in terms of hours/week, salary, independence, and lifestyle...
