Hi everyone. I took the college accuplacer and scored into pre-calc.
However, precal isnt pre-req so I feel like it's a waste of money and time.
I guess if i review a bit I could get into cal1 since I've been in calc classes in high-school.

so .. do you think I should take the precalc class or not?
Please advise me. Thanks in advance.

I did the review and took calculus personally, but it doesn't really matter to the admissions process. Calc is a powerful tool, and you'll need it if you want to do Calc-based physics or statistics, but it's really up to you how much math you want to learn.

I was in the same boat but opted to go straight into calculus 1. Pre-calculus is a waste of time and money. Go straight into it if you already have a background in it in high school. No point in wasting a semester taking precalculus!

Precalc is only a waste if you have complete background on it. If not, then I would advise you stay in Precalc, which will get you ready for Calc1.
