Physio Help: Alpha blocking!

When a person is in alpha rhythm state of mind and a stimulus is introduced, ALPHA BLOCKING will happen. How does Alpha Blocking look like on the EEG graph ??? What pattern does it show ??? Do BETA WAVES replace ALPHA when a stimulus is introduced ? AFTER alpha blocking, does the brain go back to alpha again ?
