Other Pgy2 position and Match

I’m currently a first year preliminary internal medicine resident and at this time I’m going through the match to secure a position but I’ve also interviewed for some pgy2 positions but they likely will not give me a decision until after the match. Ofcourse I don’t know the chances of the programs offering me the pgy2 so for security I’m going through with the match but I’m hoping I get pgy2. So If I score a pgy2 position it would obviously be my preference not to repeat intern year all over again and go for that but then could I withdraw from my match obligation then? What happens if I want to withdraw and go with the pgy2 position?
