Position Wanted PGY-1 looking for IM opening anywhere

Hi, I am a surgical categorical intern, thinking about chancing specialty to IM.

1) How can I find an opening?
2) Is it better to wait for next year EARS?
3) I am available anytime, but is it hard to find an opening position right now?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
