??? Not about to read 37 pages to try to find where it says something about PharmD

Just FYI this is technically off topic. Please read the article and only address your thoughts related to that article to ensure you stay on topic.

A limitation of this approach is that the degree major information provided in the ACS corresponds to an individual’s undergraduate field of study, even if a person possesses a graduate degree. In the case of a person with a graduate degree, only the undergraduate field of study is identified. Since we cannot appropriately determine a field of study match in these cases, we omit individuals with a graduate degree from our analysis that utilizes this measure of job matching

Looks like PharmD would be taken out of these studies, unless the respondent had a BS in a hard science, which not all pharmacists have. I would imagine that our Pharmacy school graduates have a much larger match, although it is dropping and will continue to drop with the glut of new graduates. Also doesn't address length of time to find the job or underemployment.

thats what I feel as well

Undergrad degrees cannot be compared to pharmD. Most 18 year olds have no idea what career they want to pursue or even which major. People who go to professional schools go with the intention to use their niche degree.

and yet 30 percent of pharmds are unemployed. Sooner or later they will have to make a switch. Life doesn't wait on you
