Interesting, something NJ law is going to face with other aspects in the future as more "specialty" centers have grown.

The hospital systems and the insurance company are better connected than the AMA to the government, and it is not a surprise that we may start to see legislation that punishes physicians for trying to earn money legitimately. What really bothers me about the article is that when it says that physicians may earn more from the centers than their income, no one says the obvious (a: Why is it wrong to earn more from your business than your job? and b:Why are facilities earning more on surgeries than the actual surgeons?) The skewed payment system is what makes this type of investment so profitable in the first place.
