Just curious to sample a few of you medical students (or others) that are just finishing your first year. I will be attending this Fall. Is your first year that bad, stressful, shocking, really? Or is it just an adjustment, something like high school to undergrad? Did you not study much in undergrad, thus you feel medical school is hell? Just curious, thanks.

LibUser,

First year is simply an adjustment to the volume of material. There are very few difficult concepts, but there are thousands of easy ones that you're responsible to know.

Medical education has nothing to do with intellect; it's completely about daily motivation.

Libuser, are you going to attend MSUCOM?

Yes, the first year IS that bad! Surely you've heard the old saying, "med
school is like trying to take a drink from a fire hydrant". The material
is easy, it's the volume that kills you! The good news is that it goes by
really fast and the second year is much more enjoyable.

Pancho,

No, I am not going to attend MSU-COM. Kirksville is my future school! Why?
