As per the title of this thread, are there any universities in the USA that offer mini-residencies in Orthodontics to foreign-trained dentists who haven't written the INBDE?
It's such a massive time, financial and geographical obstacle to participation for me, since all exam centers are in North America, while at least the TOEFL and IELTS tests have exam centers here in Cape Town.
I'm trying to build up my CV to a point where I could apply to an overseas 3- or 4-year Orthodontics course, but the fact that Covid hit the year after my graduation with my BDS degree and the fact that South Africans seeking to travel internationally were persona non grata everywhere during the pandemic has delayed my efforts to seek out further education.
