The Tran Tien Foundation leads a yearly medical mission to Hue, Vietnam each April. The mission focuses on preforming plastic surgeries on children and adults. We also run a primary care clinic to provide free medical visits and free medications to impoverished people. Our next mission is scheduled for April 18-25, 2015.
This would be a great volunteer opportunity for medical students who are interested in a surgical field or primary care. Speaking vietnamese is great but is NOT mandatory to be a part of the mission. Travel and housing expenses are not reimbursed or subsidized. Each volunteer is asked to cover their own expenses, however these expenses are tax-deductible.
