I have a few questions about the Universities med school:
-is prefrence given to Ontario residents?
-how do i convert a UBC ( 4.33 scale ) gpa to a 4.0 gpa?

I've heard that this is one of the most difficult schools to get into, but right now I'm looking at the GPA stats of the class of 07 and its only 3.30 ( minimum ) and a 3.77 mean.

It doesn't seem too impossible to do, but why is it still so difficult to get in?
They don't require a MCAT score, or even a slight hint of a biology background!

Say I have a 85% average right now (@ UBC if it makes a difference..)
Would I just need super letters of rec. and super extra-curriculuar activies to make it to the interview?

Thanks in advance.
And sorry for any bad grammar, I've just spent the past few (many) hours looking over old final exams @_@.

I think McMaster is tough to get in precisely because of the reasons you outlined. It is NOT a numbers game...it's kind of a crapshoot as to what they are looking for in their applicants.
