Hi guys I noticed this thead on Cardiology and I thought it would be helpful. Thank you.

I was thinking whether we should post after the match is over the following information that may be helpful for next year applicants:

1. How many interviews you were offered
2. How many interviews you actually attended
3. How many programs you ended up ranking
4. And If you match, what position was that program in your list

You don't necesarily have to disclose where you match

Is it hard to find time during residency to interview at 10+ programs? Or did you use up your vacation time?

A lot of these people weren't residents when they interviewed.

And yes, it's hard, but not impossible, to find that kind of time to interview. It will probably be a little easier next year as interviews will happen during 3rd year so you should have a little more free/flex time.

matched at my #1

as far as interviewing during residency, i'm sure most programs like mine were kind enough to throw in some elective time during interview season. It was never an issue. I've covered several colleagues who had interviews scheduled during floor and ICU months.
