Hi, I will be graduating this upcoming June and am deciding whether to apply for the 2017-2018 or 2018-2019 cycle. I won't be taking my MCAT until September 10th and therefore won't receive my score until a month after. Do you think it reduces my chances to apply the 2017-2018 cycle but submit my application only after I get my MCAT score? Or would it be better to wait to apply in the 2018-2019 cycle?

I think you mean 2017-2018 or 2018-2019. Anyways October would be pretty late to apply and from what I've seen the only people that have success applying this late are superstars with really high MCAT. June is probably the latest you can take the MCAT and still be ok with applying and even that's pushing it.

Yes I meant 2017-2018/2018-2019, thanks! As a follow-up question: if I were to apply the 2017-2018 cycle and say I do not get into any schools and then again apply the 2018-2019 cycle, would it reduce my chances when applying the second time?

In general, re-applicants have a slightly lower matriculation rate compared to first-time applicants. There will also be requirements to explain why you are applying a second time, and you will be potentially be evaluated more strictly. The best advice I received is to not apply until you can present your best application.
