I just read that Interventional Neurology is a fellowship that has benn recently approved. Anybody know what this new field is about? It certainly sounds intriguing because the title seems to imply procedures.

Yeah, there are "interventional" fellowships out there, but there is going to be a long and bloody battle between interventional and neuroradiologists who are protecting their lucrative procedural turf and any neurologists who try to muscle in on it. I would advise anyone who wants to do radiologic procedures to do a radiology residency; I suspect it will be a long time before neurologists are really accepted in this field (if ever).
