I think I've hit a point of diminishing returns for research after my research year. I have a somewhat decent output. Probably not the level of a derm or NSGY applicant, but I'm happy with it. 3 pubs, 10 posters, 1 abstract,1 book chapter, with 2 pubs and 3 abstracts on the way.
Can I just be done now? I'm starting to enjoy it a lot less with 3rd year sucking up all my time and it is stressing me out to come home from a 10 hour day in clinic to do 2 hours of chart review on top of 2 hours of studying. I think it's time to lay it to rest for awhile. Not sure if PDs will view this poorly that my output dropped off completely these last two years of school.
