Dual CCM/Anaesthesia job market in Canada

Hi guys, can anyone enlighten me a bit about the job market for jobs encompassing both anaesthesia and critical care in Canada? This would be for someone with anaesthesia residency from the UK and a CCM fellowship from canada.

Can’t comment on anesthesia but the CCM job market is quite saturated in Canada, especially in the major cities.

Perhaps but I think those opportunities are limited because 80% of Canada's population lives in one of the big cities. For example, out of Canada's 35 mil population, 6 mil lives in the Toronto metro area. In addition, very small hospitals may not be in need of an intensivist.

ah of course. What do CCM trained docs do in canada then? Do most tend to find jobs in the US?

I believe Canada graduates only 40-50 a year for the whole country and they probably have an easier time finding jobs at the large hospitals in the major cities.
