Jokes aside, a psychiatrist is likely better than nothing. Although I once responded to a syncope on a plane and got there after a psychiatrist who urged me to go sit down because he had the situation under control. It was very obviously an UGIB and the person was pale/diaphoretic. The rear of the plane smelled of melena. I stayed nearby. Ended up pushing him aside and putting in an IV. Luckily close to landing.
WTF? As a pediatric emergency medicine physician, if an adult was having problems on a flight and they asked if I was a doctor, I would say, "uh...kinda, I am a pediatrician." That psychiatrist was just being reckless. If it was me, and it wasn't a kid, and some general ED physician walked up and said, "hey you need a hand I am an ED doc" I would say, "ok, you got it, bye Felecia!"
