Center for Clinical Studies has an immediate opening for a clinical research fellow at our Webster, TX office starting July 1st, 2022.
The fellow will be involved in a variety of clinical research projects involving the treatment of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, herpes zoster, rosacea, herpes genitalis, shingles, HPV and cutaneous infections as well as vaccines for prevention of a number of skin diseases.
The clinical research fellow will have the opportunity to publish and present at local and national meetings as well as to collaborate with scientists in Dr. Tyring’s viral immunology laboratory in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC), Houston. The fellows will also have opportunities to work with Dr. Tyring in the private clinic caring for a variety of dermatological problems as well as learning basic dermatological surgery techniques. Fellows may attend local meetings such as the combined University of Texas Houston/ Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) Dermatology Rounds, The Houston Dermatological Society, etc. as well as national meetings, e.g. the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting.
Since 1991, over 43 clinical research fellows have completed one or two years of training with Dr. Tyring, with a 98% success rate of the fellows being accepted onto a dermatology residency program.
Requirements: The applicant should have completed a minimum of PGY1 and must be eligible to obtain a Texas medical license.
