Other Confused about PGY-II in prelim now(IM)

Hi all,

This is my first time posting in this forum.
I am currently in PGY-I prelim spot at IM.

I want to know what my options are for next year. Ofcourse the first priority is going to be the same program but I want to be prepared for anything unpredicted.

Should I reapply in ERAs this year? Do they have option for PGY-II application?

I want to pursue IM in NY/NJ area since my wife is here.

Background about me, IMG/Permanent resident/not competitive USMLE scores(no Failure)/Step 3 done
