Hello Everyone I am new to the Forum and SDN in general.

I recently noticed that Emory has ended its combined Internal Medicine-Nuclear medicine programs. This leaves just the University of Iowa as the only program that still has such a program. (Although the Joint Program at Harvard offer some for of a combined program it is not listed with the ACGME.)

Personally, I wanted to combine my IM and Nuc program but still finish residency in 4 years. Do those in Nuclear Medicine programs currently know of other residency programs that are open to combining both educations?

Thanks..

With the recent changes in nuclear medicine training length, I am not sure if completing IM + NM in 4 years is possible anymore. You should contact the ABNM; I am sure they can answer this question for you.
