Can any alumni or current students of Columbia's MPH program comment on opportunities for paid student employment? Is it easy/common to get a paid research assistant position? (Also would be interested in TA-ing but ideally hoping for an RA position.) How many hours a week do students usually work in these positions? Another area I'd be really interested to know more about is paid practicum opportunities: How common are paid vs. unpaid practicums? For reference, I was recently accepted to the Epidemiology program with a Global Health concentration. I'm really interested in reproductive health so was definitely intrigued by opportunities at ICAP, but am by no means only interested in doing research there. Thanks in advance!
